Advertising on the Web

Advertising on the Web

Between 20 to 50 million people are currently surfing the web, and that number is growing daily. They average in age between 20 to 50 years old. They are affluent. They are educated. They are potential customers. How are you marketing to them? Have you included an internet marketing plan in your 1999 marketing and business plans? If not, maybe it is time to sit back and consider the possibilities of advertising on the web. But what does advertising on the web entail?

First, you will need to have access to the internet. Access can be gained simply by having a computer and a modem, and signing up with a local service provider such as America On-Line (AOL).

Second, begin surfing the web and gain ideas from what is out there. Web addresses are everywhere. Begin by looking up these web sites, and noting what you like and dislike about the site. Often you can gain many ideas by viewing sites totally unrelated to your own.
